Pertex Quantum

Pertex Quantum is the lightest fabric we’ve ever made. It is a true featherweight at around d 30g/m2 (0.9o/yd2). We use the finest yarns available to us with the maximum thread count. We strongly believe that less weight shouldn’t mean ‘please be careful’. Pertex Quantum stands its ground and shows the best strength to weight ratio. Tear strength and seam strength are good for its weight and it can easily be used in shell jackets and withstands the abuse of hardcore use. The abrasion resistance however is not comparable with standard weight 44 decitex fabrics. Thanks to its dense weave, Pertex Quantum is downproof and can be used for any high-end application in sleeping bags, down jackets and expedition gear. It is a gear freak’s dream.

RDS Standard

The Responsible Down Standard is an independent, voluntary global standard, which means that companies can choose to certify their products to the RDS, even if there is no legislation requiring them to do so. The standard also follows the chain of custody from farm to product. It ensures that down and feathers come from ducks and geese that have been treated well.

650 fill power responsibly sourced down insulation

The higher the fill power the more air an ounce of the down can trap, and thus the more insulating ability an ounce of the down will have. Fill power ranges from about 300 for feathers to around 900 for the highest quality goose down.
