Dynafit Radical Down RDS Men's Jacket is a technical insulating garment designed for cold-weather ski touring and mountaineering. Its main purpose is to provide thermal insulation and protection from the cold with minimal weight. This model serves as a key insulating layer for men, especially suitable for use in the winter season, either as an outer layer in cold and dry weather or as a mid-layer under a waterproof jacket.
The jacket falls into the insulation category. It is filled with high-quality goose down with a fill power of 800 cuin and a 95/5 (down/feather) ratio. The DOWNTEK® treatment of the down is critical, allowing it to maintain its insulating capacity and volume even when exposed to moisture, and to dry faster. The down is ethically sourced and RDS certified (Responsible Down Standard). The jacket weighs 422 g , which makes it one of the lightest insulation jackets in this class.
The outer layer is made of Dynashell Ultra Light polyamide material, which is windproof and treated with a water-repellent ( DWR ) treatment, which provides reliable protection against light precipitation. The jacket is equipped with stretch inserts under the armpits and on the sides made of DYNANYLON STRETCH material, which increase freedom of movement, breathability and help with thermoregulation. The cut is Athletic Fit , which allows for optimal fit to the body and thus improves thermal efficiency.
Functional details include elastic cuffs on the sleeves and an elastic hem at the bottom, which effectively retain heat and prevent cold air from entering. The jacket has a comfortable, warm hood with an elastic hem for additional head protection. There are two front zip pockets for storing equipment and one chest zip pocket for valuables. Due to its low weight and compressibility, the jacket is suitable as a spare insulation piece for any mountain adventure.
