The Outdoor Research Men's ActiveIce Spectrum Sun Hoodie is a premium choice for mountaineers, climbers, hikers, and trail runners who require reliable protection on long outings under intense sun. Weighing in at an ultralight 255 g, it offers the perfect balance of featherweight comfort, unrestricted breathability, and dependable coverage. The technical foundation of the hoodie is crafted from an advanced blend of 94% recycled polyester and 6% elastane with bluesign® environmental certification, ensuring top-tier performance and sustainability.

The standout feature of this hoodie is its innovative ActiveIce™ thermo-regulating technology, which dynamically responds to rising body temperature. As you begin to sweat, the fabric activates a pleasant cooling sensation, helping you stay fresh on the hottest days. A high UPF 50+ rating effectively blocks harmful UV rays, while integrated ActiveFresh™ odor control neutralizes bacteria to prevent odor buildup during multi-day adventures.

A thoughtfully designed cut with a 71 cm center back length stays securely in place even when wearing a backpack or climbing harness. The ergonomic three-panel hood provides extra shade for your neck and ears and fits comfortably under a helmet. Four-way stretch fabric with flatlock seams eliminates chafing, while practical thumb loops at the cuffs keep your wrists and the backs of your hands consistently shielded from the sun.
