The Black Diamond Alpenglow UPF 50 women's active hoody is the perfect choice for all-day mountain adventures, long rock routes, and sunny approaches when sunscreen alone simply isn't enough. It features reliable UPF 50+ sun protection and innovative BD.cool mineral-based in-fiber cooling technology. This reflects up to 71% of near-infrared rays, noticeably reducing the temperature felt by the body during intense exertion on hot summer days.

The hoody is crafted from high-performance technical knit fabric with a weight of 200 g/m², combining 87% polyester and 13% elastane. The fabric provides exceptional stretch, excellent breathability, and rapid moisture-wicking from the skin. For long-lasting freshness, the Polygiene® Odor Control antibacterial treatment based on silver salts effectively prevents bacterial growth and odor buildup, reducing the need for frequent washing.

Thoughtful technical design includes a comfortable under-helmet hood that offers full neck and head protection from the blazing sun. Underarm gussets allow an unrestricted range of motion while climbing, while flatlock seams prevent skin chafing under backpack shoulder straps. For practical storage of small essentials or a credit card, a discreet zippered side pocket is located at the hip.

Weighing just 245 g with a versatile regular fit (Regular Fit), this hoody excels as a primary base layer or a standalone outer layer for hiking, mountain running, and demanding multi-pitch rock climbing.
