The Montane Terra Men's Hiking Pants have long been considered the undisputed gold standard among lightweight and versatile mountain trousers. They are crafted from cotton-feel soft yet exceptionally durable TACTEL® (100% nylon) fabric, which dries extremely quickly and effectively repels wind and water thanks to an eco-friendly PFC-free DWR hydrophobic coating. With a low weight of just 330 g and UPF 40+ protection, they are the perfect choice for 3-season mountain use.

In high-wear areas – knees, seat, and the inner lower hems – the pants are reinforced with highly durable CORDURA® rip-stop fabric that reliably withstands rough rock, scree, and undergrowth. The ergonomic technical cut with articulated knees allows completely unrestricted movement, even during high leg lifts and climbing strides.

For efficient thermoregulation, mesh-lined side ventilation zippers on the thighs provide instant cooling during intense ascents. The trousers are equipped with reliable YKK zippers, two mesh-lined hand pockets, an internal hidden security pocket for valuables, and a zipped rear pocket.

All-day comfort is ensured by a partially elasticated waistband lined with soft microfleece to prevent chafing under a backpack or climbing harness, complete with a removable belt with a low-profile buckle. The hem of the legs features zippers and press studs, allowing easy pull-on over hiking boots and precise adjustment around the ankles.
