Connect with the ground and discover a new level of performance with a shoe designed to naturally empower your feet. With low-profile cushioning, zero drop, and a streamlined design, Altra Escalante 5 lets your feet move as nature intended without sacrificing comfort. Ideal for runners looking for full ground contact during fast-paced interval training, road miles, or everyday urban runs.

Main product advantages:

• Signature FootShape™ Fit: The wide forefoot allows your toes to spread naturally during takeoff and landing. At the same time, the fit provides a snug, secure fit in the arch and heel, preventing your foot from shifting.
• Zero drop: A completely flat platform between the heel and toes promotes correct, natural body posture and reduces joint strain when in contact with the ground.
• Responsive Altra EGO™ Foam: The midsole is equipped with the unique Altra EGO™ foam, which delivers the perfect balance between luxurious underfoot comfort and high responsiveness with superior energy return with every step.
• Updated Upper Comfort: A redesigned, engineered knit upper delivers exceptional breathability and flexibility. Along with an updated tongue and softer ankle collar, the shoe offers that signature, classic Escalante feel.
• Improved low-profile outsole: The new rubber outsole was developed with increased durability and longevity in mind without adding excess weight, while maintaining a low profile for excellent ground feel.

What's new in the Escalante 5 model:

• A redesigned rubber sole that, despite the low cushioning height, offers significantly greater durability against wear and more direct contact with the ground.
• Technically advanced knit material, redesigned tongue and improved collar structure for a more stable and comfortable fit to the foot.
